Four workers tragically lost their lives and multiple others sustained injuries following a massive early morning fire at the Violanta biscuit manufacturing facility located near Trikala, Greece. The catastrophic blaze erupted at approximately four o'clock in the morning during a standard overnight production shift at the industrial complex.

Thirteen employees were inside the factory when the sudden fire broke out, sparking an urgent emergency response. While eight workers managed to evacuate the burning building safely, rescue crews later recovered four bodies from the debris after successfully gaining access to the heavily damaged structure.

The Hellenic Fire Service immediately mobilized a substantial emergency response, deploying roughly forty firefighters alongside fifteen specialized vehicles to battle the raging inferno. Thick, toxic smoke rapidly blanketed the surrounding area while intense flames visibly engulfed large sections of the facility's roof.
