Four women have tragically lost their lives following a severe industrial fire at a prominent biscuit manufacturing facility located near the central Greek city of Trikala. Greek emergency services confirmed the fatalities after responding to the massive overnight blaze that engulfed parts of the commercial complex.

The devastating incident began in the early morning hours, around 4:00 a.m., at the industrial plant run by the Violanta company, situated approximately 200 miles north of Athens. Thick smoke billowed into the night sky, and aggressive flames quickly compromised sections of the factory roof.

A total of thirteen workers were inside the facility during the dangerous overnight shift as the emergency unfolded. Swift action allowed eight individuals to escape the burning premises unharmed, while rescue teams frantically launched operations to locate missing personnel.
