Three bodies were recovered following a devastating mudslide near Lillooet, British Columbia, while one person remains missing after an extensive search operation along Highway 99.
Royal Canadian Mounted Police officers and dedicated search-and-rescue crews spent several days combing debris-strewn areas after the massive slide swept through the region on November 15.
The mudslide deposited large quantities of earth, rocks, and debris across the terrain, creating severely hazardous conditions that hampered emergency responders during their initial deployment.
