Maria Eduarda Rodrigues de Freitas, a 21-year-old woman, tragically died on Saturday during a bungee jump at the Skeleton Bridge in Limeira, São Paulo state, following a catastrophic safety failure. Preliminary investigations indicate she was released from the jumping platform before her essential safety rope was properly attached.

The resulting fatal fall from a significant height left emergency responders unable to save her. Medical teams quickly rushed to the scene, but they could only confirm her death upon arrival. Her body was subsequently transferred to the Legal Medical Institute for detailed examination.

Public outrage quickly spread across Brazil after video footage of the incident surfaced online. The distressing images fueled intense public demands for accountability and raised critical concerns regarding safety standards within the adventure tourism industry.
